This sequence of exercises is consistent with an exercise that Dr. Lane learned from Svetlana Masgutova as part of her MNRI program. These movements take the hands through a sequence of movements that encourage development of all the movements necessary for efficient visual motor coordination. This exercise is appropriate for people ages 3 years-adult and is used is most of Dr. Lane's therapy sessions. |

Meaningful Moves: The Hand Map
The Hand Map is a useful exercise to be used at the beginning of therapy sessions, before sitting down to do homework or as a relaxation exercise at any time relaxation is needed. All of Dr. Lane's patients are introduced to The Hand Map and many of them ask their parents to do this exercise on a regular basis years after active vision therapy is complete. |
